The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are the predecessors of the initial release of the Iphone 6 and 6plus teased last year. The new devices were unveiled at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium by the company’s CEO Tim Cook on September 9 2015. Ever since its release, the device had been a very huge success to the company with sales of about 13million units within the first weekend. This makes it yet another successful device from the company as it maintains its flagship device as one of the most wildly used device in the world.
The iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are the performance versions over their respective predecessors, featuring improved hardware specifications, including 3D Touch, a force-sensitive touch screen; upgraded rear-facing and front-facing cameras; a faster processor; a new chassis made of a stronger 7000 series aluminium alloy; second-generation touch ID; improved LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity; and a new rose gold finish in addition to the space gray, silver, and gold finishes found on the previous models, while maintaining an identical design. The devices ship with iOS 9preinstalled.As of September 28, 2015, 13 million iPhone 6S and 6S Plus models have been sold, setting a new first-weekend sales record, up from the 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus units sold the previous year.

iPhone 6S ships with iOS 9; the operating system leverages the 3D Touch hardware to allow the use of new gestures and commands, including “peeking” at content with a light touch and “popping” it into view by pressing harder, and accessing context menus with links to commonly used functions within apps with harder presses on home screen icons. The camera app’s “Retina Flash” feature allows the display’s brightness to be used as a makeshiftflashon images taken with the front camera, while “Live Photos” captures a short video alongside each photo taken.
The IPhone IOS 9 becomes a closer contender with the Android Marshmallow which was also launched earlier this year by Google, Inc. As development continues to evolve around the advanced technologies used in the development of these great operating system, IOS continues to still be a very powerful choice of mobile device despite it being in closed source. Apple, inc. continues to make larger varieties of the OS in its closed source arena.

The iPhone 6s and 6splus had a greater positive reception than the negative. Selling about 13 million in its first week of release is a huge success for the US based company. The IPhone series continues to still be the flagship device for the company and succeeds over its rivals like Samsung galaxy S series and HtC one series and LG G series. The device sells all around the world though not entirely available in Africa and Asia.

Known issues

Overheating due to TouchID
It is believed that there is a problem of Overheating while using the TouchID which results in he device becoming somehow unusable. This could be as a result of multi processor and dual chips installed in the device hardware. One made by Samsung with the other TSMC. Some argued the Samsung causes a sort of drainage to the battery life which is assumed to be therefore worst than the TSMC chip despite the fact that the two are not totally different.
Some feared the device would inherit its predecessor’s bending characteristics despite being said to be an improved version of the old iPhone 6 and 6plus.
