A new Xiaomi Mi Air 2S True wireless earbuds or TWS has been released with interesting features especially in the battery longevity which gives the device a max of 24 hours as well as an advanced Bluetooth technology.
As of the time of writing this, the devices are only available in China where they can be pre-ordered for about CNY 400 ($56/€52) but the global roll-out is very likely and should be expected in a matter of time.
The device features an interestingly large 14.2mm drivers which is meant to help enhance it’s audio quality for max performance.

Aside being powered by the latest Bluetooth 5.0, it also has support for the LHDC which is a non-proprietary alternative of the Qualcomm’s aptX-HD that Android smartphone makers use. The usefulness of the LHDC is because it has a low latency mode.

The way the earbuds work is far more interesting. For example, the earbuds connects separately instead of one earbud connecting to the other. This also allows you to use either bud separately (on many TWS buds only the main bud can be used separately).
Another interesting thing is that the Xiaomi Mi Air 2S come with a casing which offer support for the Qi wireless charging technology and also a USB-C Port right at the bottom of the device’s casing.
To fully charge the casing, it takes about 1 hour while the earbuds can last for about 5 hours on playback and by topping them up in the case which lasts for an additional 24 hours.

The design gives no room for noise cancellation even though the device use some mics for noise suppression during calls. So you can just accept calls by tapping on one of the earbuds. Also touch control can change the volume of the device.
The earbuds have IR sensors that detect when you take them out of your ear and they get paused out automatically.
Xiaomi integrated this device into the MiUI ecosystem so you can summon the Xiao AI assistant and also use voice commands. Another thing is that if your phone is running the MiUI, the earbud pops-out a notification so that you ca pair the earbuds as soon as you open the case just the way we have it on the Apple AirPods and iOS devices.

If you want to gt yours from the Chinese manufacturer, you can click on the link to access the online store as shipping is said to start in 5 days and remember, it costs about CNY 400 ($56/€52).
