The Meizu 18 series was officially teased by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer on its Weibo account. The device will come in two models – Meizu 18 and 18 Pro.

The company went ahead to share two posts online both of which were the variants of the Meizu 18 series.
Some of the information displayed includes the device’s display and the design. Meizu is known to always make simple designs even though they seems to target the premium users with the mid to high-end smartphones.
The base model of the Meizu 18 will come with a 6.2-inch display as well as a punch-hole camera to house the front-facing selfie camera while the high-end Meizu 18 Pro will also come with the same big 6.2-inch display with a higher 2K resolution.

A recent leak suggests that both the smartphones are expected to have Samsung E4 AMOLED display with support for Full HD+ screen resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate.
Major information about the devices are yet to be known but rumors have it that the device could be powered by the latest Snapdragon 870 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage all for the base model while the Pro model will definitely be the one sporting the higher Snapdragon 888 chipset with a larger RAM and storage space as well as a better camera set up and of course a higher price tag.

Powering both device will be the current Android 11 version out of the box while Meizu’s own skin will be laced on top of the default Android OS.
In terms of power, the device could be powered by a big 4,500mAh battery with 40W fast charging while there could also be support for wireless charging as the technology is becoming more common.
Meizu continues to hang on to being a relevant smartphone maker straight from China. While the company might not be really popular around the world as it’s focused much more on the Chinese market which is definitely huge, the plans for the next-gen Meizu 18 might be global or at least beyond the walls of China.
