Huawei despite its legal and political issues in some markets, it still won’t relax in its pursuit of making the best product we can count on.

The all new Huawei Mate X is a real wonder and when I say wonder I mean it in every sense. Last month when Samsung released the Galaxy Fold, we all went for it as it was really amusing.

But the Huawei Mate X is way more than that as its jaw dropping. What makes this device worth the hype is how well designed it is and how cook it feels when held.

The Mate X offers the fast Kirin 980 Chipset which is also paired with the the 5G Balong 5000 modem and a quad array antenna system that receives great network signal quickly helping it to produce downlink speeds of about 4.65Gbps with sub+6GHz networks

Thats amazing. But what’s more amazing is the way the device folds outwardly rather than being inward like the Samsung Galaxy Fold (making it have the second screen on the back.)

The Huawei Mate X foods outward and that automatically means the devices screen becomes the casing when folded.

It folds perfectly flat and when it’s opened thanks to a simple clip you just need to push which releases the lock and the hinge flips up, it has a grip on the right side which houses its quad Leica camera setup and its USB port and so forth.

The device has dual-cell battery which is 4500mAh. But the surprise here is Huawei’s new SuperCharge 55-watt protocol, pledging to give an 85-percent charge in half an hour. The same adapter here can also charge the MateBook at 65 watts.

When folded, the Mate X shows off its 6.38-inch and 6.6-inch displays. It allows for users to easily feed back on their camera’s viewfinder in real-time.

What’s even more amazing is the fact that Huawei completely did away with Notch and Punch hole but a plan flat wide display which might be plastic.

Considering the way the device folds and opens, its high likely its made with plastic because glass doesn’t or rarely fold.

Plastic finish might make the display quite attractive to scratches and it might not be very attractive and shiny the way glass shines (gorilla glass 6 for example).

And if you didn’t think there would be a case to protect the Mate X, Huawei has one. You probably won’t get to see the Interstellar Blue color shine through, but that doesn’t necessarily matter.

There is a single model: 8GB of RAM, 512GB of storage for €2,299. Availability begins in the middle of the year. We’ll learn more about the device and keep you updated everytime we get something new.
