Since everything nowadays is about the Coronavirus, well this one might isn’t one of those bombardments so take a deep breath while you’re in your isolation.

Yesterday, the company unveiled it’s electric concept for the next generation microbuses dubbed the e-BULLI which is actually the 1966’s T1 Samba Bus which the company has been able to convert into a beautiful e-Bus now.

The bus was built in Hannover, Germany and can go as far as 124 miles on a single charge with the 45 kWh-Li-Ion battery (Behind the bus’ back license plate you’ll find the charging port.)

The newly tweaked vehicle now look quite modern compared to the olden 1966 T1 Samba Bus. With wood floor, and paint job, the interior also consists of digital display which relays information about the vehicle even though it looked very analogue in most parts.

It might seem like a simple retro radio in the front, but there’s a hefty dose of tech packed in with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. You can even connect the car to a Volkswagen mobile app which is modern in this days of connectivity.

There’s also a panoramic folding roof. Genuinely awesome. 

In Europe, VW bus owners won’t have to look longingly at this concept car as, well, just a concept. Electric bus conversions are available for $64,900 euros (just about $64,900 USD, as well). 

This is meanwhile a concept and wouldn’t really be head turning as it maintains the old aesthetics. But if you want an electric conversion of a bus, this upgrade is available for $64,900 so while you still can’t get out of the house, enjoy the views online.
