As contactless ATM machines would be coming to the United States, payment via mobile phone would be a new trend. As banks in the US are working hard enough to bring this exclusive feature which had being available in countries like Spain and Canada,  services like Apple Pay and Android pay would become the major enhanced for ease of usage right in the US.

Based on reports from Wiredand TechCrunch, Chase, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo; are all working on creating NFC-equipped ATMs, with Chase planning on rolling them out later this year.

Based on another Wired report, Chase is said to be unleashing it’s own ATM in two phases over the next year.
Based in these reports, its said that the 1st phase would ask users to authenticate on their mobile banking all which would give them a 7 digit code (password) which would allow for the ease of access to the ATM without a bank account or a debut cars.

“This doesn’t replace the debit card. It’s just giving customers a more convenient choice in case they don’t have their debit card on them,”

Chase spokesman Michael Fusco told Wired.

As the next phase is said to be a replacement to physical card, Chase says it will roll out NFC-Equiped ATM machines later this year (2016) which allow for the access of ATM just lime the way an Apple Pay and Android Pay can be accessed.
As a new plan of giving customers a more convenient means of payment without actually having to carry along their Debit cards all the times or if they aren’t with it.

Wells Fargo and Bank of America will also adopt NFC-equipped ATMs later this year, according to TechCrunch, but neither would confirm that their services would work with Apple Pay.
Based in the same reports from TechCrunch, Both Wells Fargo and BOA would be operating on an upgraded service which is assumed to work with the Apple pay (To later be in support of the service)

With lots of debit card frauds and skimming, the new contactless ATM night be of help in GH security aspect to secure these illegal practises but who knows how long that would be.
But the advantage of not carrying a physical card in payment terminals, cracking services like Apple pay and Android pay might become a new daunting task for those hackers which would not be easy.

If you’re wondering when you’ll be able to use your phone at the ATM, Bank of America is looking like it’ll be first bank to rollout the new ATMs.
Based in the information given to TechCrunch, this campaign is said to start rolling out by late February at “select ATMs in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Charlotte, New York and Boston followed by a broader roll out to customers mid year.”
