It could be because Android is already the giant sharer and IOS is also a contender. Whatever reason the company has, Tesla would actually be considering the allowing of smartphone apps from these two earlier mentioned platforms (Android/iOS) to be mirrored directly on a 17 inch “Center Console” display which would make app development to be a thing of ease for developers rather than having to build the company’s own Development kit which had being reported many years back.
At an event held in Hong Kong, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the focus of Tesla’s infotainment efforts was actually to
“enable you to project apps from your phone to the center screen.”
It’s not clear whether Musk is referring to platforms like Android Auto or CarPlay, which allow a limited sort of mirroring of smartphone apps, or something more Tesla-centric.

With most companies already introducing the Android Auto and Carplay system to their vehicles, Tesla wouldn’t be following the same channel although having the huge best 17 inch touchscreen system which the company assumed to be the best above the popular trend which the other automakers are venturing into. Better still, Tesla app mirroring system would help the company and vehicle users in ways.
