This week we saw the release of smartphone launched with the Snapdragon 865 chipset which is the ultimate premium flagship level and there are obviously more to come in coming weeks.
But if you want a more sophisticated device with more boost-power, then you might keep calm for the Snapdragon 865 plus which rumors has it will come by Q3 2020.
According to a recent leak, Qualcomm is expected to announced a more sophisticated version of the current Snapdragon 865 Mobile platform in the third quarter of this year which will be called the Snapdragon 865+ as its usually called.
The info comes from a Weibo post by Digital Chat Station. In the post, he said the Snapdragon 865 Plus is scheduled to be launched in the third quarter of the year. He also added that prototypes will be available in two months (April?).

The release of the Snapdragon 855 and 855+ last year gave flagship smartphones enough power to boost their efficiency and performances. The addition of the “Plus” started last year but earlier before then, there was the Snapdragon 835 and Snapdragon 845 which didn’t have a Plus variant but in 2016 there were two flagship processors too – the Snapdragon 820 and the Snapdragon 821.
The differences between the two chipsets can be narrowed down to a boost in performance as the CPU and GPU are clocked higher than the non-plus variant. We believe the Snapdragon 865 Plus will be no different but it will be a pleasant surprise to see the new processor have an integrated 5G modem.
By the time the Snapdragon 865+ will be released, it’ll be the ultimate powerhouse to flagship devices usually scheduled to be released towards the end of the year such as the Galaxy Note Series, HUAWEI Mate series and also other smartphone makers like OnePlus, Vivo, Nubia, Xiaomi and so on and so forth.
