As we get deeper into the year, more and more devices are being released but most of all, we have even much more to expect later on at some point in the year among which is the POCO M2 Reloaded slated to be released by April 21st according to reports.
The device was released back in September of 2020 as Redmi 9 or Redmi 9 Prime in India. Basically, the branding is based on the customer’s region.
It also reportedly sold over a million units in the Indian market alone which is probably why the company is already eyeing a “reloaded” model as a follow-up for the last-year’s model.
The company also made this known via its official Twitter account and the launch time is April 21st which is in two days (Wednesday) at exactly 12PM IST but that time may differ depending on your own location/region on the globe.

The POCO M2 Reloaded is just a downgraded variant with nearly the same configuration from the original. Unlike the POCO M2 which is available in two configurations – 6GB of RAM with 64GB or 128GB of storage, the POCO M2 Reloaded will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Save for this change, the rest of the specifications are the same.
The screen size is expected to be 6.53-inch with an FHD+ LCD panel and a waterdrop notch at the top. Powering up the POCO M2 Reloaded will be the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset with a dedicated MicroSD slot for memory expansion.
The device will have a 13MP main rear camera, an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. For selfies, you get an 8MP camera.
In terms of its power, it’ll have a massive 5000mAh battery capacity with support for an 18W fast charging capacity while other peripheral features includes the presence of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, dual-SIM card support, water resistance coating and Android 10 out of the box.
