Honor which is a sub brand of Huawei had suffered the same fate as it’s parent company which makes them to not be using any Google software any longer based on a ban placed on the Chinese tech giant back in Mid-2019.

Honor which excels in mid-range smartphones industry announced the Honor 9A which was first launched in China back in March now in Europe as the device is now rebuilt with Europe in mind allowing it to sport different specification to fit right into the new environment.

Therefore the European version of the Honor 9A sports a 6.3-inch HD+ display with a 1600 x 700 pixels of resolution with a waterdrop notch right at the center housing the device’s 8MP front facing camera.

Aside the display specs, the Honor 9A is powered by the entry-tier Helio P22 chipset with a 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is obviously expandable.

If you’re wondering the difference yet, the European Honor 9A sports a triple rear camera setup which consists of a 13MP primary sensor and then a smaller 5MP ultrawide sensor and a smaller 2MP macro sensor compared to the dual setup on the Chinese variant.

Other noticeable design includes support for a dedicated MicroSD card slot as well as the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner then an NFC support, audio 3.5mm headphone jack. The Honor 9A has support for FM radio as well as an in-built antenna. There is the Huwei Histen 6.0 and Smart PA audio systems onboard.

Powering the Honor 9A is a gigantic 5000mAh batter which only support 5W fast charging and even support reverse charging. As for the operating system, it’s the Magic UI 3.1 which is built on top of the Android 10 OS with the Huawei Mobile Service (HMS)

The phone is available in Midnight Black and Phantom Blue. It will go on sale on July 1 for €149.9. At least making it an interesting pricing for new Honor products in Europe.

MagicBook 14

Honor MagicBook 14

The next product announced in Europe today is the Honor MagicBook 14, an awesome looking PC which is pretty decent in terms of the design specs. Made with aluminum chassis and a blue accent which goes around the silvery colored lid.

The Honor MagicBook 14 is a premium-looking PC with ultra thin bezels around it’s display which makes the PC even smaller despite quite moderately sized display. Weighing about 1.38KG, the PC is just 15.9MM thick.

The specification of the Honor MagicBook 14 includes a 14-inch display with 1080p resolution. Powering it up is the AMD Ryzen 3500U with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB of PCle SSD storage.

There a number of ports on the Honor MagicBook 14 which includes a two USB-A ports (1x USB 3.0 and 1x USB 2.0) and then a USB-C port and support for 3.5mm audio jack with backlit keyboard exactly how I wanted it to be.

The MagicBook comes with a efficient cooling fan which has about 49% more blades for effectiveness while the battery powering up the PC is a 56Wh battery which should last for a whooping 10 hours.

The MagicBook 14 charges via a USB-C port and supports 65W fast charging (65W charger included). This allows you to charge it from empty to 46% in just 30 minutes.

Other features of the notebook are a fingerprint scanner (buried under the power button), a retractable webcam hidden between the keys, and support for Magic-link 2.0 which allows users to mirror their Honor phones on their PC and seamlessly transfer files between both devices.

The MagicBook 14 comes with Windows 10 Home out of the box and a 1-month free subscription of Office 365. The notebook is priced at €599 (€649 with a 12-month Office 365 subscription) and comes in Space Gray and Mystic Silver. It is already available for purchase in France and will begin shipping between July 6 and July 10.

CHOICE TWS Earbuds

News] Honor Your Smart Home
Poducts Honor unveiled in Europe today

The naming culture of some tech companies might be funny to look at sometimes but that’s nothing much with the “CHOICE” line is a new line which it announced alongside the aforementioned products.

The CHOICE line will have support for IoT technology and other lifestyle products which includes the TWS earbuds, humidifiers, smart vacuum cleaners, smart kettles, smart toothbrushes and smart lamps. The first of these products announced today is the CHOICE TWS Earbuds.

Ass for the TWS earbuds, it sports a 7nm driver with a max 24 hours battery life and the color is white while it look overtly similar to the FlyPods 3 TWS earbuds just with a shorter stem. Pricing isn’t yet revealed so we’ll have to keep on for that. Well that’s all we know about the Honor new products in Europe today.
