I don’t know how possible this is but it’s very possible especially with the news about Huawei offloading the brand to a Shenzhen tech company in order to help the business gain its freedom from its own ordeal.
With it’s new independence, Honor should be able to regain the lost territories from Huawei whose Q3 2020 shipment plummeted according to a recent market research.
According to TrendForce a research firm, Honor will grab about 2% of the smartphone market globally by 2021. Huawei‘s rise as projected next year is expected to be around just 4% compared to this year’s 14% which makes it a massive decline.
One of the reason for the sharp decline in the Chinese tech giant’s growth is obviously due to its battle with the United States which has sanctioned it from working with a number of component manufacturers which will further hurt the company’s smartphone manufacturing capability. With so much stringent on its business, this prompted the sales of the Honor brand in the first place.
Xiaomi on the other hand is set to overtake Huawei as the company seems over 40 million smartphone shipments in the Q3 of 2020.
The growth of the Chinese brand is set to be between 12% and 14% which could help it make about 240 million smartphone shipments by 2021 which will obviously see it overtaking Huawei to take the second place behind Samsung.
Oppo on the other hand is expected to also grab at least 14% market share which is an increase from 12% while Vivo is projected to hold between 9% to 11% of the smartphone market.
