HMD Global, the company that owns Nokia has announced a new affordable smartphone it called the Nokia C2 which runs on the older Android 9 Pie Go Edition and powered by the entry level Unisoc SoC.

Being an entry-level smartphone, it has some really cool features and specifications which includes a 1.4GHz Quad-Core CPU which places it right about the older Nokia C1 1.3GHz processor. Apart from this, the device also come with a 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage but can be expanded using a MicroSD of about 64GB but well, you will probably never really need an extra memory card unless you’re a big smartphone user and you wouldn’t need this device then.

As for the display, it has a slightly larger 5.7-Inch display compared to the 5.5 inch display on the previous model but this time, the display resolution is a massive HD+ with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

As for the camera portion, it features a simple 5MP single shooter with f/2.2 aperture and the same as the front facing camera. It also has an LED flash both at the front and back to help you out when in the dark which is also another good thing about this small phone.

As for the battery, considering the minimalist specifications, you probably won’t need too much battery in such a small form factor so the 2,800 can get you through the day and can charge at 5W using the good-old MicroUSB port.

Additionally, the handset has FM radio receiver and 3.5 mm audio jack. The C2 comes in Black and Cyan colors. And it’s pricing and availability isn’t yet made officially public just yet. This is a good smartphone you can gift to your young child or an older family member who just need a basic smartphone with not too much features. But surely, the pricing will be around $100 or lesser so stay tuned and we’ll keep you abreast of more information as we have it.
