The universe is ultra massive and the fun fact is that it’s constantly enlarging which means we might never get to see it to the end but instead, we might just have to sit down here on earth and watch the space, discover new planets and solar systems or galaxies and much more.
All these has been made possible thanks to advanced technology in the modern era among which is the NASA’s Chnadra X-Ray Observatory powerful telescope which has been known for delivering really incredible astronomical discoveries.
It was the the first to provide light image of the supernova remnant Cassiopeia A and school students have also used data from the telescope to discover a neutron star in supernova remnant IC 443 back in the year 2000.
With so much amazing stars and beautiful images of the interstellar space, it’s safe to say the space can be a dangerous beauty as well.
Among the beautiful images of the space captured by the telescope, we have some below which doesn’t necessarily represent what the actual objects are but this gives you an idea. Also, NASA utilizes a number of data such as the “multiwavelength” approach to come by what we have below. This is basically the use of data across multiple spectra which includes radio wave to gama rays.
M82
Not to be confused with the sick French band M83, NASA says M82 is a galaxy that is “oriented edge-on to Earth”.
Abell 2744
This galaxy cluster image was gotten using data from the Chandra and Hubble telescopes.
Supernova 1987A (SN 1987A)
According to NASA this is an image of one of the “brightest supernova explosions in centuries”.
Eta Carinae
NASA describes Eta Carinae as “a volatile system containing two massive stars that closely orbit each other”.
Cartwheel Galaxy
When Fritz Zwicky discovered this galaxy in 1941, he said it was “one of the most complicated structures awaiting its explanation on the basis of stellar dynamics.” It’s 150,000 light years in diameter.
Helix Nebula
It looks like a giant eyeball, but the Helix Nebula is actually a star running out of fuel. Apparently this is what could happen to our sun in 5 billion years.
As humans, we all want to colonise the space and basically, this will be a great feat for humanity in the nearest future considering the billion of planets that are out there with many similar to earth and their probability of being capable of hosting life or maybe have other life forms in them as well due to the presence of liquid water.
Meanwhile this is going to take lots of years to come by them as many hypothesis have been drawn and many non-scientific suggestions have been made among which are based on the use of wormholes to transport to distant space but all these are just at there early stages of human development.
