There have been rumors about the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition but then we have new reports that there could be a Lite version of it as well which might make you wonder what is the “Fan Edition” in the first place if not being a “Lite” smartphone.

Although the answer tot hat question might just vary alot but according to WinFuture.de, a German tech site has it, there could be more to the device than we know so far to the point of also including an array of pictures showing the color variants of the device when it finally lands.

As suggestions points out, the Fan edition will potentially sport some downgrades which will put the device right at the same realms of the Galaxy S10 Lite released much earlier this year rather than being the infinite Galaxy S20 which some might have expected to even beat the S20 Ultra.

But one thing for sure is that the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will definitely be a really powerful smartphone but not like the utmost powerful and one of the reasons Samsung might have to convince you to come onboard and get one of this device might just be the price point which should be much lower than the average Galaxy S20.

But for what it is, the device is expected to sport the powerful Snapdragon 865 SoC which is also on the Galaxy S20 as well as an 8GB of RAM (down from 12GB of RAM on the S20) but that’s not a big deal as the battery gets even better peaking 5,000mAh compared to the 4,500mAh on the S20.

But the aforementioned specifications are meant for the 5G variant which according to the WinFuture reports, its said that there is also the 4G model which will have the lesser Exynos 990 chipset and with that, you might just have to decide whichever device you’d prefer based on the processing power.

Meanwhile the 4G version might be limited to the European demographics alone as the South Korean giant its known to always market it’s Snapdragon powered smartphones in the U.S.

The device’s design also will include a flat-design and also have a slightly lower screen resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 compared to the 2K on the S20.

But definitely the display will be an OLED screen and the size could be about 6.5-inch and protected by the Gorilla Glass 3 which should help in scratch resistance.

Though there are some downgrades as mentioned earlier, the device is still not a bad deal after all. It will infact sport a 120Hz refresh rates on the S20 as well which should please you.

Other hardware specifications includes the device having a triple camera setup which includes a 12MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and also another 12MP ultrawide and lastly an 8MP 3x zoom lens.

The device according to the WinFuture is said to come in six color versions which includes the white, red, orange, violet, mint green and navy blue.

It’s possible some of these are reserved exclusively for the 4G or 5G versions, of course, but it still feels less serious and more playful than the phone on which it’s based.

Though the S20 Fan Edition is a downgrade, it’s not going to be a badly downgraded device and still sport the upper mid-range specifications which makes it powerful and blazing fast for anyone that wants to purchase one. While the pricing of the device isn’t mentioned in the leak, it’s quite obvious the device could sit in the norther realms of the US$500 price point and could get released later on this month or the next.
