Huawei might be having it really hard with the world especially the US right now but the company doesn’t seem to be stopping at all as it’s sub-brand, Honor has decided to enter into the Gaming PC market with the new Honor Hunter V700 which is a gaming laptop with a portable form factor unlike the gigantic gaming PCs like the Alienware for example.
The Honor Hunter V700 is a high performance gaming machine with a really beautiful design and of course some mind blowing hardware specifications which makes it especially interesting and cool.
Hunter Gaming Laptop Design
As we all know, there is always something weird about a gaming laptop. It could be the lid, the base, the design itself or the size and you’re right about the Honor Hunter V700 but the difference here is that the design is made to be mimic a notebook as it’s slimmer and has a unique touch to it.
The laptop itself also has a better heat dissipation technology. The body is made up from an anodized aluminum alloy and it also sports the RGB LED colors which glow around the device as well as glowing from within the back to showcase the logo of the device all which can be controlled and customized to your taste.
The thickness of the Honor Hunter V700 is about 19.9mm and has its thermal management capacity as well as the focus is finding a way to better dissipate all the heats while the PC is working hard due to the enormous components it comes with.
Testing out the Honor Hunter V700, it ran at 89 degrees Celsius in a synthetic benchmark and stress testing which is very okay for a computer that runs a process which can peak 5GHz in clock of speed.
The company accredited its better thermal performance to its new fan designs, which sucks in more air for cooling. This is also supplemented by the radiators and 240 cooling fins built into the laptops.
In terms of design, the back sort of looks like my old Dell Vostro 2520 but this time, smaller. The design is cool and the hardware is made with solid materials. The device’s hinge is said to have been tested more than 50,000 times in order to be sure of the durability and quality over it’s lifespan for those who acquire it.

Interesting features are coming with the new device among which includes the Intel’s 10th gen processors such as i5-10300H or i7-0750H all with 16GB of dual channel RAM and either 512GB or 1TB of NVMe SSD storage. The audio systems are also great with the Hunter V700 sporting nahimic 3D surround sound audio output which will enhance gaming experience if you decide to never put on your headphone while gaming. There is also going to be support for wireless smartphone game streaming which will it you mirror your mobile games on it’s bigger screen.

The battery is rated at 56Wh, which should get users a decent battery life with regular use, but it is advised to game only when the laptop is plugged in.

- i7-10750H / RTX 2060 / 1TB – US$1,479 (CN¥ 9999 Yuan)
The availability of the trio is scheduled til 27th of September 2020 where you can get the Honor Hunter gaming laptop with Battle Armor Backpack which is priced around US$74 (CN¥499). Honor further announced its collaboration with Cherry MX key switches
But the price point of the laptop sounds quite great despite it’s innumerable features and hardware specification. Comparing the Hunter gaming PC with others on the same level and the price from those will be much way up the roof.
