While we thought Samsung might just halt the release of Galaxy S20 Lite with the base Galaxy S20 taking its place instead, that might not be true anymore as the company is said to have set out to release an mid-range Galaxy S20 Lite and we saw the specs.

This makes sense as it could be a way for the South Korean tech giant to recover it’s losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in a serious global economy downturn. This had a negative impact on Samsung’s sales worldwide.

So the Galaxy S20 FE or Fan Edition will be the S20 Lite and it’s expected to be announced later this year around October precisely even though there were reports that the company could release the Galaxy Note 20 series with other smartphone in just one month time.

The Geekbench was listed via GSMArena which showed the mobile number and some specifications of the device. Speaking of the specifications, it’s said to have the high-end Snapdragon 865 SoC with 6GB of RAM and runs on Android 10 OS with the upcoming One UI 2.5 skin built on top of it. It also scores 737 points and 2619 points in single-core and multi-core tests respectively according to the report.

But after the brief information, nothing much is known about the Galaxy S20 Lite just yet and that includes the storage specs, the camera and screen size etc. But if we’re to look back at the previous Galaxy S10 Lite, the device came with a plastic build which might be repeated since Samsung seems to always prefer plastic on it’s mid-range devices. But with a Snapdragon 865, that is definitely going to be a fast smartphone for real.
