Huawei’s P40 is coming but little is known about the flagship so far as fans and potential customers await the device’s official release. One obvious thing is that the device will be very expensive and feature premium-grade specifications in terms of it’s hardware though Huawei is been pushing it’s own operating system without the Google play service.
Shortly before the presentation of the new Huawei smartphones, the technical specs of the phones has leaked. So Huawei fans can once again look forward to an improved camera. The Huawei P40 is no longer a secret either. Meanwhile, only speculation about memory and price is being made about the non-Pro variant.
The P-Series has always been pushing the limits of smartphone camera functionalities and we can’t expect anything less than the best camera on a smartphone when the device finally makes it to the market soonest.
Though nothing much is official about the device, expert leak has revealed few details we can bet on as we await the P40 and P40 Pro.
As for the Huawei P40
The P40 is the base model of the P40 series and despite being expected to stand in the level of the iPhone 11, Galaxy S20 , it’s definitely going to come with outstanding specifications which we expect to be cool and according to leaks, here are some of those.
- 6.1-inch display
- Leica Ultra Vision triple camera (50MP + 16MP + 8MP)
- Huawei XD Fusion Engine
- Front camera: 32MP
- 30x digital zoom
- 3,800 mAh battery (40W Quick Charge)
- Kirin 990 5G
While the Huawei P40 Pro
The “Pro” version is expected to come with more upgrades in terms of it’s hardware and functionalities which will definitely raise its pricing more than the “Non Pro” model we talked about above. Below are few specifications and features we expect to see on the P40 Pro when it finally gets released.
- 6.58-inch display
- Leica Ultra Vision Quad camera (50MP + 40MP + 12MP + ToF)
- Huawei XD Fusion Engine
- Front camera: 32MP + depth sensor
- 50 x SuperSensing zoom with telephoto stabilization
- 4,200 mAh, 40W wired charging & 40/27W wireless SuperCharge
- Kirin 990 5G
While there isn’t important information such as the RAM or the internal storage size, this might not be really important as the device will surely ship with big RAM and internal storage space because this is 2020, a time when smartphones are being loaded with aggressive memory storage peaking a maximum of 16GB of RAM space.
As for the camera setup which is far more important specs when it comes to the Huawei P-Series, the P40 Pro is expected to be super powerful than usual. While the insight isn’t also shown, we’re sure this device will come with a multi-camera setup which are going to be very powerful.
Earlier reports we had showed the device to feature a 50-MP primary shooter and even if they overdo it just like Xiaomi and Samsung with the 108MP, we won’t be surprised because again, this is 2020.
Another leaked information about the P40 series is the inclusion of the RYYB sensor which had been used on the Mate 30 Pro and other high-end smartphones from the company which is meant to produce good photo qualities even in poor lighting conditions.
Report has it that the main sensor would be a 50MP main sensor and have the 50x hybrid zoom which is expected to be supported by a telephoto lens and of course, there will be an interesting zoom camera sensor on the device.
Leaks has it that the P40 Pro will come with a 30x digital zoom without telephoto while the device will also feature the 3D ToF sensor on the “Pro” model.
The same main sensor is used on the front, which is complemented by a depth sensor on the P40 Pro. This will have an effect on portrait shots. Therefore, the front camera of the Pro model is probably also arranged in a pill-shaped notch, as can be seen in the latest render images:
As for the pricing of the P40 series, nothing is official as of now and until the release date, we might not know much about this but considering how many features the device already has, it’s liekly the pricing of the “Pro” model will likely reach a high $1000 USD though the pricing might not be up to that as some speculators assume Huawei might consider the absence of the Google Play Service and lower the price tag.
