Chinese tech giant Xiaomi doesn’t make just smartphone but an array of interesting devices that ranges from smart home appliances to other apparels including this one, a foldable treadmill which anyone can use for exercises while producing low-noise

The new device is called the URevo U1 foldable treadmill and it costs about US$190 (CNY 1,299). The design of the device is really simple which is basically flat on the ground compared to the traditional treadmill which usually have handle and bigger frames, this is just like the base being removed and made into an entire device with no handle-bar whatsoever.

The URevo U1 has a self developed and patented integrated frame body and can be used without installation or even power source and it has a mini screen where you can see important data such as the speed, calories, mileage and time.

Not a wireless charger but the URevo U1 treadmill

In terms of the design, it has a 120 x 42 centimetre of area so that could be enough to exercise for the average human and it has border warnings which let you know if you’ve exceeded the safety range so it doesn’t matter the size, nearly all human can use it but I wouldn’t know about really large people such as those with say 7 feet tall and so forth. At the same time, the running belt has its own correction function to prevent deviation.

The max speed for the URevo U1 foldable treadmill is about 6kmph which can be the regular speed for early morning joggers and it has a speed limit protection functionality.

And speaking of it’s noise reduction capability, the internal parts of the treadmill are said to have been built with some pretty high quality tech which I’d expect but though the price point might make you wonder the authenticity of that claim but one thing for sure is that it’s said to being low-noise and if that’s true, it can be used at home then because the max operating noise is said to be within the range of 62 decibels.

With an height of just 6.5cm, it would seem like a quite bumped up foot mat which you can slide right anywhere in your home for storage. It in fact has a roller to enhance mobility and it has a handheld remote control with which you can operate the treadmill without having to look down all the time.
