Starting from Volvo XC90, S90 and V90 there would be an integration of Spotify into Volvo cars. This was made known to the general public during the Mobile World Congress. Volvo had also announced it’s close relationship with Spotify about building such an application that would enhance such functionality; parts of which includes handwriting recognition, a better and wider screen layout for better song selection and Spotify Connect which allows passengers to control the music.
As the new Volvo would be rolling out alongside its new system, Spotify would also get a better exposure to the general audience. Spotify premium service allow full integration and seamless access to the new car music streaming and so it could be a better way of telling Freemium users to go paid.
Other powerful functions of the system include the ability tonuse an auxiliary cord or Bluetooth in order to stream music’s straight from your mobile device if you song want to pay the $10 per month fee.
Volvo also made it known that the app would be available in all the countries that Spotify services are in operation.
