And one big advantage of using your smartphone as your PC webcam is the fact that everything is connected wirelessly which means you can basically move your smartphone around while you let the computer do the job.
But the fact that majority of modern smartphones do come with amazing camera setups nowadays, this means that it will ultimately dwarf the resolution of your PC webcam for sure and that is why it is the best candidate to achieve a great quality Zoom meeting when next you’re having one with your colleagues or business associates.
With numerous people moving online to conduct businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, one key aspect to effective communication is the need to have a stable video in high quality and achieving that with a mere built-in comupter web cam might never be possible which is why it’s much more important to use an alternative. But in order to use your smartphone as PC webcam, you need to go through a quick guide which requires you get a couple of software to work on your smartphone and then your computer which will then be intermingled wirelessly.

The best approach into marrying these two completely different systems together effectively is by using an application which basically gets the magic done with ease. What you have to do is to have the application installed on both your smartphone and computer and then connect them wirelessly; here is how to do that.
1. First, head over to Dev47Apps to download the software called DroidCam for your Windows or Linux machine (non available for MacOS for now)
2. Then also head over to the Google Play store and then search for the DroidCam mobile application and download it and that is all.
3. Connect both your smartphone and PC to a wireless network. (Ensure they are both connected to the same wireless network)
4. The next thing you should do is launch both applications (on your PC and Smartphone) and then on the mobile application of the DroidCam, you’ll see some information which includes the wireless network’s IP Address which you’ll then enter into the provided box on the desktop and then click on the connect button.
When all that is done, the connection is made and you can see your smartphone becoming your PC webcam. You can also swap between the front or the back camera with the back always being the best cameras due to multiple setups.
