The electric-vehicles race is the new craze that every automakers are switching to and German automaker Mercedes-Benz isn’t relenting as the company continues to research and build pretty decent-looking concepts.

The new one being the Concept EQT which is a luxury all-electric minivan. The glimpse of the vehicle offer some insight into what could be gotten when the vehicle makes it out to production.

There aren’t any information about the specifications an features of the vehicle out now but we can expect this to be just another pretty decent vehicle based on the design aesthetics alone.

While the German automaker continues to ride on its EQ tech, the minivan is expected to come with a quite long range powered by good battery pack but nothing about the electric motors and its power or other specs like that.

Images of the beautiful vehicle shows a lot of pretty cool photos of the van in details both on the inside and the outside.

It maintains the same Mercedes-EQ aesthetics which includes its pretty-looking black grille with LED light placed across it making it pretty obvious to being an EV from afar.

The headlights for example are narrow and well tucked away right above the grille. One thing I still find amazing is that this is easily recognizable as a Mercedes because the company ensure that its signature design extends to every detail of the car.

Still on the design aesthetics, the Concept EQT measures 194.7 inches in total length and that puts it behind the likes of the Chrysler Pacifica which is about 203.8-inches and then the Honda Odyssey which is also at 205.2.

But one thing for sure is that modern cars are becoming more compact and more spacious from the inside at the same time. The fact that this is an all-electric van meant that there are more room for hauling passengers while the car’s battery and electric motors are right beneath the car.

The Mercedes-Benz Concept EQT will feature three rows of seating with full-size seats in the third row for a maximum capacity of about 7 passengers which is pretty fair.

If the passengers aren’t adults, Mercedes says about three children can be fit into each seats next to each other in the second row.

As for the cargo space, Mercedes took the opportunity to integrate an electric longboard into the floor of the van. It’s stored under a plexiglass lid that is flush with the load compartment, and of course, Mercedes styled the board with a star pattern. If you need extra space, Mercedes says the third row can be folded down or removed completely.

Despite being a luxury car because that’s what Mercedes does, the Concept EQT is still built for the average consumer in mind making the interior pretty interesting.

You get things like the nappa leather seats and glossy black build. Mercedes uses the old MBUX steering wheel design that we see on many Mercedes cars now.

There is of course the turbine-styled air vents which seems to be the new norm on Mercedes Benz EV cars with the ambient lighting to give passengers some luxurious feeling of comfort.

The Infotainment system is well integrated into the MBUX display though it’s not some over massive display just as seen on other modern EVs.

There’s also no fully digital instrument cluster, leaving you with a semi-traditional speedometer on the left and a power meter of sorts on the right in place of a traditional tachometer (this is an EV after all).

The timing in terms of production and release of the Concept EQT is yet unknown but the company says it will follow after the launching of the T-Class which is expected to hit the emarket by 2022.

Another thing is that the car might not be for global consumers considering the fact that the company seems to aiming at the European market with the Concept EQT.
