Earlier on I mentioned the checklist to check out for before upgrading your iPhone to the latest iOS 14, this post is all about how to clean install the iOS 14 stable and final release the right ways by either using iTunes on your Windows PC or Finder on Mac. So far your device is compatible with the new update, then you’re good to go.

The stable version of the iOS 4 was made available to the general public yesterday by Apple and anyone can now upgrade to this new version which brings about some interestingly new updates and features as well as apps to further enhance users’ experience.

But the fact remains that even though this is an exciting update which everyone basically wants to get their hands on, it might still be problematic to jump from the previous model (iOS 13) to the newest model and so here is how to bypass this errors.

As mentioned earlier in the previous guide, you need to first ensure you back up your iPhone first in order to clean install iOS 14 stable version. So for this guide, I’ll use the MacOS Catalina and above as reference and leave out the older models. Also ensure you have the latest iTunes installed on your Windows PC.

How to Clean Install iOS 14 on your PC

First step: is to ensure you download the correct IPSW file which corresponds to the iPhone you’re planning on instaling the iOS 14 stable version onto.

You can get the required IPSW file from here: Download iOS 14 Final IPSW Links, OTA Profile File Along With iPadOS 14

Second step: On your iPhone, head to Settings > iCloud > Find My. Make sure you toggle the switch into the OFF position.

Third step: The next thing is to then connect your device to your PC or Mac and then launch the app manually just in case there is nothing automatic happening.

Fourth step: Now, select your connected device from the user interface which will then take you to the particular device in the iTunes’ software and then give you access to new features. But as for Mac users, you just click on the Finder icon and then select your iPhone from the sidebar.

Fifth step: Then you’ll need to do a manual restoration by holding down the ALT key on Mac or Shift key for Windows PC followed by clicking the Restore iPhone button and then browse and select the required IPSW file when prompted to do so.

The next thing is to use the Finder or iTunes to go about installing iOS 14 on our iPhone device just like that. Then your device will restart a couple of times and that’s it. You get the latest iOS 14 on your device with ease.
