The wireless headphones bandwagon isn’t going anywhere in 2021 and the new joiner is music instrument manufacturer Yamaha called the YH-L700A wireless headphones which will feature the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology as well as spatial audio.
While the YH-L700A might sound really promising, it will not feature the Dolby Atmos technology but a mechanism that will help enhance the device’s audio input via the 3D Sound Field functionality for an immersive audio experience. There will also be head tracking control on the device.
The device will be slightly pricey at about US$614 (based on Google’s exchange rate from €520/£450). It will feature 40 nm drivers, Bluetooth 5.0, and aptX adaptive support. The 3D Sound Field can also help transform stereo audio and stimulate multi-channel content on several sound modes.
It will also have a companion application that can run on both Android and iOS for better configuration and personalization. The ANC will help the device to clear off environmental and ambient noise by more than 20%.

The ANC is a delicate balance between shielding unwanted noise and the enhancement of the audio being listened to. The Listening Optimizer uses a microphone embedded inside each ear cup to constantly monitor sound output optimized top-notch listening. Ambient Sound mode is also present and can be toggled on and off.
One of the strong features of the new headphone is a very powerful battery, guaranteeing 34 hours of activity on a full charge. USB-C is used for charging. When ANC is enabled, together with the 3D Sound field, the battery has a reduced performance of 11 hours.
