Just this past week, Samsung released the One UI 3.1 based on the current Android 11 for its LTE-based Galaxy tab S6 tablets and the South Korean tech giant isn’t stopping there yet as the roll out will also be coming to the Wi-Fi only variant of the tablet this week according to new reports.
The Wi-Fi only Galaxy Tab S6 was left out of the initial roll out for whatever reason best known to Samsung and this might have angered some customers who owned the device considering the fact that everyone expected the same update to be rolled out universally considering the fact that all the devices are of the same model just in different variations.
So users of the Galaxy Tab S6 (SM-T860) which is Wi-Fi only who reside in regions like Germany and the United States will now be getting the latest One UI 3.1 and the firmware version number is T860XXU3CUB7. It includes the March 2021 security patch.
The update is an important one as it would bring the device which was launched back in 2019 with the Android Pie OS.

The update will bring about newer user interface tweaks and improved stock applications from the Korean smartphone maker with some interesting performances and Dynamic Lock Screen features, more lock screen widgets, automatic switching of Galaxy Buds between different One UI 3.1- powered devices.
There is also support for Google Home smart controls which allows the Galaxy Tab S6 to be used as the second screen for a Windows PC, keyboard sharing with a smartphone, improved Digital Wellbeing and Parental Controls and so much more.
In terms of privacy and security improvements on the One UI 3.1, there are now options to remove GPS location data while sharing images as well as the Private Share feature.
The update also includes all the cool features the Android 11 has to offer and those includes one-time permissions, auto permissions reset, chat bubbles, dedicated media player widget in the quick settings section, a conversations section in the notifications area, and more emojis.
If you are a Galaxy Tab S6 user in Germany or the US, you can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. But you can use this link to navigate to the download section of the firmware and then flash it manually onto your device if you know how to do it.
