Even though most of us consume content via our smartphones but do not rule out smart TVs just yet. In fact, the evolution of these flatscreen TVs has gotten so sporadic to the point that you can now have a TV that can curve or stay flat.
If that sounds cool to you, that’s because it really is. Skyworth W82 is the TV in question and it’s built to fit your preference however you want it – curve or flat.
This kind of weird concept often comes from LG but I’m personally surprised about something like this from Skyworth. Speaking of curved screens, they’re often great especially for gaming and even movies due to the viewing angles.
But then you can convert the TV from currve to flat in order to accommodate more eyes – in case of family settings.

The W82’s curve options including going to 1500R (which Skyworth says is ideal for gaming, and the TV will actually automatically switch to this mode when you fire up a console, if you want), and 1000R, which is the same curvature as the human eye, so is great for totally immersing yourself.
The design of the TV is sort of inspired by foldable smartphones because it’s splitter into two at the back in order to accommodate the flexibility.
But apart from the curveness and flatness of the TV, it comes with some premium features such as Dolby Vision HDR, 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate over HDMI 2.1. This is true gaming machine.
Apart from the display system, its audio system is impressive as well thanks to its built-in subwoofer that can reach 50Hz and there is already Dolby Atmos all of which should spice the output of the TV up well enough.
Still on cool features, you can even make video calls with the TV thanks to its in-built webcam. It’s going to be a quite pricey TV with a base price nearing US$4,700. Global release is also unofficial so you can just enjoy the read and move on but if you’d want something like this, then head to China and grab the Skyworth W82 or just import it if you’ve got the dough.
