Just one week ago and everything Apple had been working on over the last year was unveiled and we saw the iPhone 11. Nothing really was obvious about the device until you flip it backward to reveal the new camera setup as well as the logo placement.
The use of the “Pro” labeling was then added on to two of these devices constituting the high-ends and of course, the expensive models. The iPhone 11 Pro and the 11 Pro Max both took over from their predecessors, the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max respectively. The eventual adoption of the Pro has never been on any iPhone in the past unlike the Macbook and iPads.
The majority of changes made to the Pro devices are of course what made it high-end and more expensive than the lower-end iPhone 11…without the “Pro”. Even though the entry level iPhone 11 as well as the iPhone Pros both use the same processors, their screen, battery life as well as camera capabilities all differ. The addition of a third camera for telephoto on the iPhone 11 Pros makes them more interesting.
With much more hype and tweaks, the iPhone 11 Pro is definitely the leader this year, 2019 and a better screen or a nicer camera setup doesn’t just mean that’s all it takes to be a Pro smartphone. The device has a quite better antennas for radio communication making it more faster in connectivity than the iPhone 11 (without the pro) and of course the 18-watt charger for fast charging is in the box of this one. One obvious thing about the new iPhones is that they all followed the same trail just as we saw it last year with the iPhone XR being the least impressive making people to avoid the device altogether.

Let’s talk about their Size based Prices
We have the iPhone 11 Pro with a nice and compact 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display making it the smallest iPhone 11 series while we also have the giant 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro Max that has those slightly higher qualities like more pixels on the display. The iPhone 11 Pro Max will also feature a 1 hour extra lasting battery capacity over the smaller iPhone 11 Pro which is why it costs $100 more than the smaller pro model which is good for smaller hands and can be easily tucked anywhere in the pocket or bag.
Even though these devices differences in sizes, since Apple doesn’t give room for external storage on it’s device, then you might have to pay premium fee for a larger model with more spaces. For example, the starting point of the iPhone 11 Pro is 64GB which costs about $999 which could be a small space if you are dealing with big files like a 4K movie for example. But then you’ll have to pay as huge as $1,149 for a 256GB model or $1,359 for a 512GB model.
The midnight green is great and there are other color variants of the iPhone 11 Pro smartphone. Matte Black is my favorite as I prefer my phone not to attract any unwanted fingerprint or liquid and oily spills. The matte finish made the device really interesting unlike the glossy iPhone XS we knew.
How the third Telephoto lens changed everything
The iPhone 11 Pro has a triple rear camera setup in one of the most bizzare way after the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. What even made the iPhone 11 camera setup odder was the position…top left corner of the device. But who cares, we’re already getting used to it already right?
But that’s why the third camera lens which is a telephoto lens comes to play placing it right a bit above the iPhone 11. Using the 2x optical zoom telephoto lens works quite similar to previous iPhones since the iPhone 7 Plus which produces a really great and high quality shots despite zoomed subjects.
Another new addition to the smartphone’s camera is it’s Night Mode which offers the same video quality benefits as the wide camera. The last time I saw the interesting night mode was on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro which had a triple camera setup and it was really interesting. iPhone adopting a multiple camera setup meant the same for offering a really high quality shots anytime of the day.
The camera basically sucks in all the little light it sees around to effect the subject and make the environment more brightened up. This is a really great thing. Also, both the iPhone 11 Pro phones have two types of Portrait mode this year: There’s the original zoomed-in type and a pulled-back wide type like the iPhone XR offered last year.Â
In comparison to the camera qualities on the Huawei P30 Pro for example or the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus, th iPhone 11 Pro camera is definitely a competitor and the overtly clean and high resolution image from the camera makes it really interesting.
Battery life of the iPhone 11 Pro
Tim Cook, Apple’s boss authoritatively said that the new iPhone 11 smartphones would last hours more than their predecessors and thanks to the optimized A13 Bionic chipset powering these devices, the battery efficiency is now very well pronounced.
Compared to last year, the iPhone XR excelled in that arena making it the only selling point it had while the iPhone XS and XS Max were lagging behind. But an extra 4 to 5 hours more battery life on the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max means a game changer which would in fact ground the iPhone XR even more. No body ever really liked it anyway.

No more 3D Touch but Haptic Touch
Since the iPhone 6S when Apple unveiled the 3D Touch, we were all intrigued about the interesting pressure-sensitive display technology but as of now, Apple had officially removed this feature making room for the Haptic Touch.
The Haptic Touch was also featured on the iPhone XR last year which uses a subtle taps that that “kick in when you hold a finger on the display, making it seem sort of like you pressed down’“.
And don’t forget that the iPhone 11 will be run by the new iOS 13 preinstalled. The new OS will be rolled out worldwide tomorrow, 19th of September. And part of the features of the new iOS 13 includes a really beautiful dark mode which is becoming mainstream.
If you love it big, then chose the iPhone 11 Pro Max
The most expensive is the hugher 512GB storage model of the iPhone 11 Pro Max which costs about $1,449 USD. If you still want to scale down to the 256GB model, you’ll still be paying a premium for the iPhone 11 Pro Max smartphone. There are two main reasons to go for this year’s most extreme iPhone: Either you want that larger OLED display (2,688×1,242 versus 2,436×1,125 for the Pro) or you want that extra hour of battery life.Â
One thing that could be a bit unconvincing about the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the price tag which I feel Tim Cook and his Apple gangs aggressively slapped upon the device. But well professional qualities such as the great camera and build quality more interesting and amazing.
Which one is your favorite?
The iPhone 11 Pro is really amazing and very compact. But I really love bigger smartphones. I love devices with big screens with large pixels. The iPhone 11 Pro Max offers all these features. Meanwhile, if you prefer a really small device that fits right well in your hands, then you might want to take the iPhone 11 Pro and leave out the Max. it’s even $100 cheaper anyway.
