Still on Gears and Gadgets, the next big announcement from Redmi will be it’s budget-friendly 5G smartphone which will be powered by Dimensity 820 on May 26th in China. There have been teasers getting posted online about the device which further confirmed earlier rumors about the device such as an AMOLED display, an in-screen fingerprint reader and most importantly, the newer MiUI 12 skin built on the current Android 10.
The fact that the device will include an AMOLED display makes sense despite the device being a mid-range device. The certification portal, TENAA has however mentioned the device’s model number to being M2004J7AC instead of using the marketing brand name which is Redmi 10X.
Also, a teaser video was posted by Redmi today which also suggests what to expect from the Redmi 10X and will be the first phone to feature the MiUI 12 out of the box. The video flaunted the device’s Super Wallpaper and its AOD+ dynamic styles.
But there are thoughts that the render being shared by Redmi could be of the Redmi 10X Pro which has a model number of M2004J7BC unlike the regular Redmi 10X which is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup based on the TENAA details gotten whereas the teaser render showed a device with quad-rear camera setup.

Redmi will be including the new phone in it’s line of other 5G devices which includes the Redmi k30 5G, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition and Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition all which starts at about US$281 and reaches the north of US$563.
The Redmi brand is working hard to breaking the price barriers of 5G smartphones by releasing really affordable devices which anyone can afford which is part of the reasons why the Redmi 10X is expected to be priced around US$267.
