Later in March 15th, Sony will be showing is more about its PlayStation VR (Virtual Reality Headset) device after months of the company not saying much about it. Sony is holding the PlayStation VR focused event on March 15th at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco and the showcase will comprise of presentation and some real demo of the gadget.
PlayStation VR was actually announced about 2 years back under a code name Project Morpheus And Sony hasn’t said anything concerning pricing or the release date of the full and production version of the Gadget. The only lead seems to be the first half of this year 2016; and the PlayStation Chief Andrew House has reportedly said the device will be priced as a new gaming platform.
As it is, the original PlayStation 4 console was launched back in 2014 with the price $399 and that might give the maker a better path of pricing the PSVR and since the cheapest major VR platform costs $599 (Oculus Rift) and Valve’s HTC Vibe goes on sales for $799, both these mentions requires a nice and better PC.
Whatever Sony has to announce, we’ll be attentive to it next month to bring you the news direct from GDC.
