After the whole US-China saga, Huawei finally launched it’s own first smart TV dubbed the Huawei Vision Smart Display last year which runs the Harmony OS, the company’s proprietary operating system but the company is back again with the Premium Edition of the device which is a massive upgrade of the original model.
One important part of the upgrade includes the much larger 128GB of internal storage as well as a 4GB of RAM space while the older standard model has just 64GB of internal storage space.
Uusally, I wouldn’t even call this a Television as it acts more like a giant smartphone but with a massive 65-inch display well, maybe that qualifies it as being a smart TV then. The Huawei Vision Smart TV also have the much anticipated AI smart eye auto-pop up camera which can be used for video calls and so on. With this camera, you can do multi-party video calls and even the quality produced is very high and the big display makes the general experience interesting.
Another interesting feature of the Huawei Vision is the built-in AI fitness 2.0 feature which provides you with actionable guides in realtime by recognizing human bones and joints in real-time. If a certain action is really difficult to do, you can also pause learning by waving your arms or skip the lesson by waving your right hand. This experience will be similar to having a fitness instructor around.

Other interesting feature the Smart TV comes with includes the ability to monitor your child’s viewing distance and even their postures by using the AI Smart eye camera which seems to be the actual device doing all the works behind the scene for the giant TV. The TV upon any detection of any abnormalities prompts you of bad posture or exposure which is aimed at helping children’s posture and vision At the same time, parents can also turn on the adult monitoring function.
The Huawei Vision Smart TV Premium Edition works with the Huawei Share with which you can share content from your Huawei smartphone to the screen of the TV or even use the smartphone as merely the remote control of the smart TV.
Huawei Vision Smart TV equally comes with a live broadcast function which enables voice control of the smart TV. Whether it is on-demand content in the smart TV or live content in the set-top box at home, with a voice command of “Xiaoyi Xiaoyi” + “Want to watch”, the user can directly change channels by voice. And as for the pricing and availability, the device is currently being listed on Huawei’s flagship store JD.COM but the pricing isn’t yet made official.
