After Verizon had launched the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, we knew for sure that this is just the beginning of it all in the 5G competition. While international carriers have also started rolling out the 5G network alongside compatible smartphones, UK carriers are the latest ones to prepare for their 5G launches.
Meanwhile the Huawei Mate 20X 5G is going to be the early adoption of 5G in the UK, the super massive device with it’s gigantic 7.2 inch screen is banned in the United States. The reason is because the US government believes the company is too close to the Chinese government and could be leaking users data.
When Huawei released the Mate 20 series just this last fall, the devie came with tones of features that weren’t common on Android devices as at that time.
There were three Mate 20 in the series with the Mate 20 Pro being the flagship among them. The Mate 20X was then made but targeted tiwards gaming if you consider how powerful it was and it’s size. Now the device (Mate 20X) had just recieved support for the 5G network which would be available in the UK for £999 unlocked. That’s £200 more than the 4G model.

Just this Friday, Huawei unveiled the 5G version in London according to reports gotten from 9to5Google. It’s powerful and a 5G version of the earlier gaming smartphone which is awesome altogether.

Let’s talk about the specifications of the device. It comes pack with the same 7.2 Inch full screen display and the Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC along with a 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage with a world class triple-lens main camera as found on the 4G Version.
The battery might pose a little bit of a concern as it has a little smaller battery 4,200 mAh vs. the 5,000 mAh on the previous version. It also lack headphone jack which the 4G Version has but that doesn’t stop ypu from getting the blazing fast 40W battery charging which is probably because the inside of the device is filled with 5G components including a Balong 5000 5G chip and a 5G antennas
The Huawei Mate 20X 5G offers you all the flagship features you’ll expect and will work with all local carriers in the UK which includes EE, O2, Three and VodaFone. The Mate 20 X 5G is the first Huawei 5G phone to launch this year, but it should be followed somewhat closely by the foldable Mate X the company unveiled earlier this year.
