HP Elitebooks are usually good looking and attractive as they’re your typical meeting and office kind of PC but the company is adding more spice to it this time around as the new laptop will be getting a refreshed 10th generation Intel Core and AMD Ryzen Pro 4000-series processor.
EliteBook x360 1030 G7 and 1040 G7 are the real deal here both of which are convertible laptops and has the option of the speedy 5G network even though they’re not the first PC to offer 5G support. The 1040 G7 musters up to 29 hours of claimed battery life even though that claim might be disputed when we get to take the device for a real-life spin.
As for design, all the new HP EliteBooks are now well built, newly designed keyboard and webcam privacy shutters both of which should help with the non-stop video calls. The x360 models on the other hand are smaller than their predecessors probably as they will be easier to carry around since the primary reasons for 360 laptops is to have a laptop that can be turned into a touchscreen tablet anytime – that shouldn’t be too large right.
The Ryzen-based EliteBooks 835 G7 has the officially longest battery life of a mainstream AMD business laptop at about 24 hours of runtime but you know time ill tell if those claims can be sustained on the day-to-day usage.

And if you need the power of a mobile workstation, you’re also in for the treat as the ZBook Firefly 14 is said to being the smallest and lightest portable workstation with 3.1Ibs starting weight and now has option of dedicated NVIDIA Quadro grapics to help with GPU-heavy tasks. It also has the brightest 14-inch screen making it useful when you’re working outside in broad daylight. The ZBook Firefly 15, meanwhile, is pitched as HP’s lightest 15-inch workstation (though weight wasn’t available as we wrote this).
But you might still have to wait a little depending on which of these devices you want, the EliteBook x360 updates ship by July but there is no official pricing just yet while the AMD-Based EliteBook 805-series laptop arrives by August with almost similar price-point. So if you need something fast sooner, you might just opt in for the intel-powered 800-series model which arrives next moth June at a starting price of US$1,399. The EliteBook x360 830 G7 model without 5G ships in July with a starting price of US$1,419 while bot ZBook Firefly designs will arrive by August for US$1,099.
