The Galaxy Z Flip 5G has received the June 2021 security patch but the update will not be coming to all the foldable devices worldwide just yet.
For example, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G’s carrier-locked versions in the US are still stuck with the older April 2021 security patch even though Sprint version of the device just took the May 2021 security update.
The new update for users using the Sprint variation has the firmware version F707USQ2CUD9 and includes the May 2021 security patch with bug fixes as well as stable improvements.
This is a good news for users of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G’s Sprint in the US. So if that’s you, you may receive the new software update as soon as possible.

Other carriers in the US such as AT&T and T-Mobile may get the security update as soon as possible in a matter of days.
For the records, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G was released back in August 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The device shipped with the then Android 10 OS and quickly received the Android 11 based on One UI 3.0 update about five months ago.
The device is the other folding smartphone from the South Korean tech giant and it offer some premium look and feel which makes the device fascinating and fashionable. There are in fact rumors that Samsung is working on a newer model of the device to be released later on this year.
