With so much going on in the tech industry now especially the case of Huawei, Samsung which we think might be on the receiving end of all the gain might be too sluggish to keep it’s crown or probably they’re just not innovative enough to create something amazing that can secure their first place as the world number one biggest smartphone maker over Huawei since Huawei had aimed to Oust Samsung by 2020 and with it’s growth rate, that would have been possible if the ban issue didn’t happen.
Samsung’s CEO Dj Koh made it known earlier May that the company will announce the Galaxy Mate soon although an official date wasn’t fixed or released to any media outlet. Since the initial launch hit a snag due to engineering mismatch on the device’s screen which would’ve turned people’s attentions towards Huawei’s Mate X.
While it seems Samsung might be hard working trying to bring it’s foldable smartphone to live, a new report from Korea although citing unnamed industry source made a claim that Samsung is taking longer than expected to fix issues with the Galaxy Fold which could lead to another delay.
Unnamed telecom officials are still convinced the phone will launch in June, but Samsung said “the improvement process is taking place extremely confidentially, and comments from telecom industry sources can’t be confirmed“.

And of course, there isn’t up till now an official date the device will go live but the initial expected May 31 deadline is fast approaching. Samsung even went as far as sending letter out to those that have earlier pre-ordered the device saying “if we do not hear from you and we have not shipped by May 31st your order will be cancelled automatically — Samsung”.
