One interesting thing about ASUS is how cool their products can get oftentimes. Now at the ongoing CES 2022, the company is back again with an amazing line of cool products but its dual-display laptop in its ROG lineup is the most interesting one.
The new computer features a 16-inch main display with a smaller 14-inch touch secondary display with a 4K resolution.
The secondary display is called ROG ScreenPad Plus and it’s designed to rise along with the lid of the device when it’s opened thanks to its redesigned hinges.
This gives you a better viewing angle when opened. The secondary display can be used for a number of important things and can be an extension of the main screen.

When the device becomes available, it will be made available in two different models. The first is a Nebula HDR QHD-resolution panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a speedy 165Hz refresh rate.
The technology behind this includes the usage of mini-LED backlights that are capable of hitting an ultra-bright 1,100 nits and covers about 100% P3 color space.
It’s DisplayHDR 1000 certified and the mini-LEDs allow for precise local dimming.Â
As for the second option – ROG-exclusive Dual Spec panel, it was co-developed with BOE and its display resolution can go between 1080p with 240Hz refresh rate all the way up to 4K and 120Hz refresh rate.
For gamers, this means you can have both a fast 4K display and a faster esports-caliber display in one laptop. Plus, a MUX switch so the discrete graphics can bypass the integrated graphics to reduce latency.Â
Being a powerful device that’s essentially made for gaming and content creation, the laptop comes loaded with tons of interesting configurations such as AMD Ryzen 9 6980HX series processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti mobile graphics.
It’s expected to sport 32GB of DDR5 memory and about 2TB of PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD storage.
Even though there isn’t anything official as far as the pricing is concerned but if we’re to compare it with the previous model, it came in with a U$3,000 price point.
But the available is said to be within the first quarter of the year.
