ASUS known for its daring technology is at it again and this time around, it brought about a three set of Chrome OS laptops to the market through the CES 2021.
The three models are targeted at different audiences or consumer groups which range from enterprise users to general consumers and even gamers. The laptops within the line includes the Chromebook CX9, Chromebook Flip C536/CX5 and lastly the Chromebook Flip CM5.
ASUS also designed the last two models as convertible laptops unlike the first model and all the computers sport interesting high-end specifications while nothing yet is known about their availability or their pricing.
In this short post, we’ll take each of the product one after the other to examine what makes them unique and a decent product that you might want to consider purchasing in 2021 in case they’re finally released.

ASUS Chromebook CX9 Features & Specs
This can be labelled the enterprise model of the three earning the MIL-STD 810 certification for its durability, weight which is about 1KH and its thickness which measures about 16mm.
Powering it up is the 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with the Iris Xe graphics as well as the Titan C security for the storage of sensitive information like your passwords or encryption keys.
The design is really unique even though it seem quite similar to other ASUS laptops especially with the thin bezels around the display, its ultra-thin design as well as the wide mouse on the computer.

It has an interesting 14-inch NanoEdge display while its chassis is made of magnesium-alloy. It also feature the Thunderbolt 4, fingerprint sensor, webcam shield, Wi-Fi 6, Harman Kardon speakers as well as a massive 4TB storage space which confirms the fact that this is a true enterprise computer.

ASUS Chromebook Flip C536/CX5 Features & Specs
This one is a bigger 15.6-inch convertible Chromebook which can be used by anyone or based on its specifications, it’s definitely targeted at the average consumer.
Even with that, it still come with some high-end specifications such as the 11th generation Intel Core processor with the same Intel Xe Graphics, Wi-Fi 6 and even the Harman Kardon sound system to give it a premium audio output.

Further, it comes with USI Stylus support, USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type-C), and up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM a well as 512GB NVMe SSD.
I particularly like this because of the convertible design which ultimately turn it to being a touchscreen computer that can be used like a large tablet and that will be a great tool for designers or for simple tasks and since most of us are used to touching the screens of our smartphones, this kind of become the new norm even in computers.
It also support a stylus pen which can be purchased separately with the device to enhance its features and make things work even better if you so wish. Below are some of the cool features of the new ASUS Chromebook Flip C536/CX5.

ASUS Chromebook Flip CM5 Features & Specs
And last but not the least is the ASUS Chromebook Flip CM5 which also is another powerful computer targeted at gamers considering the specifications as well as its designs which also includes the WASD keys being well pronounced.
Even though it’s targeted at gamers, it doesn’t have any over-the-roof specification which includes being powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 35000C chipset as well as Wi-Fi 6.

It also has a big 15.6-inch Full HD display and also the Harman Kardon audio system but my skepticism about the computer is whether it can handle really intense tasks such video editing or some powerful games but it should handle media consumption as well as Google Stadia effectively well.
