The P30 Pro was lucky when it was released last year February 2019 luckily, it didn’t get banned from using the Google version of the Android OS which was a big news before the unfortunate great Mate 30 Series got the hit later on by September. But that’s not the point. The Huawei P30 Pro is an awesome smartphone with huge benefits and great design aesthetics that makes it very premium both in looks and sturdy when held in the hand.

It’s 6.4-Inch display is curved around the display and has a tear-drop notch at the top center of the device. Not only is it a great smartphone in terms of it’s well thought-out design, it’s also dubbed the best camera smartphone competing right up against the likes of the Galaxy S10 Plus as well as the Apple iPhone XS Max which all produces awesome photographs.

While it was released at the point where the 5G isn’t yet relevant, we hope to see an upgrade just like the Mate 20X 5G. The Huawei P30 Pro has high-end specs such as running the Android 9.0 (Pie), upgradable to Android 10.0; EMUI 10 as well as the powerful HiSilicon Kirin 980 (7 nm) the same powering the previous Mate 20 Pro series released back in 2018. The CPU of this device is Octa-core (2×2.6 GHz Cortex-A76 & 2×1.92 GHz Cortex-A76 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) while the GPU is a Mali-G76 MP10.

Huawei P30 Pro never disappointed us in the camera department as the device comes with a multiple rear camera setup which includes a main 40 MP, f/1.6, 27mm (wide), 1/1.7″, PDAF, OIS and then a Periscope 8 MP, f/3.4, 125mm (telephoto), 1/4″, PDAF, OIS, 5x optical zoom, also it features another 20 MP, f/2.2, 16mm (ultrawide), 1/2.7″, PDAF and lastly the TOF 3D, (depth sensor) which gives your image a great look and feel. The Huawei P30 Pro is capable of recording 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, 1080p@30fps (gyro-EIS), 720p@960fps resolution videos while featuring Leica optics, dual-LED dual-tone flash, panorama, HDR. Elsewhere, the front-facing selfie camera is just a 32 MP, f/2.0, 26mm (wide), 1/2.8″, 0.8µm that can record a 1080p@30fps video which is great for Vlogging and so forth.

Apart from the camera module setup, the awesome 6.47-Inches OLED display offers amazing display which is obviously great and immersive for whatever is thrown at it. There is either a 6GB RAM or 8GB RAM coupled with either 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of internal storage depending on the price-point. It also has support for an external Nano SD card made by Huawei.

It has a powerful battery 4200mAh Li-Po which can be boosted with a super-fast charging up to about 40W. It also has a 15W wireless charging and can also be a powerbank by giving a reverse charging as well.

The Huawei P30 Pro is a successful smartphone that sold in millions throughout the world. Aside being marketed with Gal Gadot’s face on it’s poster, it obviously delivered as being a top-tier device worth the attention and penny. This model costs as high as $600 USD (NG₦ 218,100 / SAR 9,012).
