In case you have being wishing to experience those big night sky recreations you might want to book a trip to New Jersey in the nearest future as the city’s Liberty Science Center had made it known that its building the largest planetarium in the western hemisphere, the Jennifer Chsty Planetarium.
The vision was backed up by a huge $5 million donation from its namesake. The move will thus upgrade the Center’s massive Imax dome theatre so that it can double as a planetarium adding digital projection in the process. Based in the plans and timing, it should expected to have been completed by December 2017.
Although its not becoming world largest since there is one that already exist, The Nagoya City Science Museum’s Dome with a 114 foot internal diameter. Still, we’re not about to knock this latest effort. It’ll easily eclipse the nearby Hayden Planetarium in New York City (36 feet across), and it’ll do wonders if it helps convey the wonders of space.
