The NASA Mars Perseverance mission will be making a historic landing today which will give further insight about the red planet as well as fossilized details of extinct microbial life on the planet – assuming one ever existed in the first place.

This is just an overview of how far we’ve come and what other interesting discoveries are expected of the NASA Perseverance mission which will land on the Jezero crater which is a site suspected to have had water in the history of the planet making it an ideal site to start for the search for microbial life’s footprint on the red planet.
