The release of Xiaomi’s MiUI 13 stable version is just around the corner and the high-end models have gotten a taste via a stable channel.
The next-gen MiUI 13 update will bring about the full-blown Android 12 experience and Xiaomi won’t be the only OEM doing this as other popular brands such as Samsung, Oppo, and OnePlus have all unveiled their software updates based on the current Android 12 OS.
Xiaomi on the other hand is often the last one to join the list and that is definitely going to be good news for Xiaomi device users.
Xiaomi enthusiastic website XiaomiUI recently reported what we should expect on the MiUI 13 update which will basically be a well-customized Android 12.
First of all, the update will reportedly be announced on Dec. 16th in China but it won’t be the MiUI 13 that will be announced but also the next-gen Xiaomi Mi 12 phone.
Below is a list of Xiaomi’s devices that are eligible for the MiUI 13 update. Based on the list, almost all of Xiaomi’s recent devices will get the update.
As of now, a number of high-end Xiaomi’s devices have received internal test builds for the MiUI 13 update such as the entirety of the Mi 11 series, Mi 11 Lite 5G, Mi 10S, MIX 4, and the Redmi K40/K40 Pro/K40 Pro+.
While these devices will receive Android 12-based MiUI 13 update, other older Xiaomi smartphones will likely get the older Android 11-based MiUI 13 update instead.
Apart from the update, the likely release date, there isn’t anything else known in terms of features and expectations of the MiUI 13 update. But for sure, those based on Android 12 OS will definitely get all the newest goodies the software is offering such as a redesigned Material You user interface, icons, and matching wallpapers among other interesting features.
