If you’re using the Xiaomi Mi 8, the good news is that your device will also get the roll out of the updated MIUI 11. Do not forget the Mi 8 was Xiaomi’s flagship back in 2018 and this stable release of the MIUI 11.0.6.0 is here for you once and for all.
For you information, the MIUI has been heavily modified based on the Android OS and its based on the latest version of the Android operating system, Android 10.
Meanwhile, there have been official statement that has it that to update to the latest version, there is the need to back up your entire device as some applications aren’t yet optimized for the newer Android 10 environment.
If you remember back in December 2019, there was an update of the MIUI 11 for the Mi 8 which was the first marriage between the Android 10 OS and the Mi 8 smartphones.

This newer update is meant to enhance a more stable and improved user experience across the system while also fixing all bugs and known security issues once and for all.
One of the notable fixes includes the bug regarding the Xiaomi Mi 8 model’s avatar function. In the new update although the download size can be rather large for some users. Reports suggesting a download size close to or over 2GB in size.

The way the update roll-is being done, not everyone will receive the update at once. Some will while others will not until some period of time. So in case you’ve not yet seen the update, just calm down or better still, head over to the update section in the settings area and check it out if you’ve received yours or need to wait.
