Rumors of the next-gen Xiaomi 12 is slowly but surely creeping around the internet and as the Chinese tech giant plans to unveil its flagship tomorrow Dec. 28th, there are a number of expected features that we might see based on rumors.
The device will for example be powered by the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and will support a blazing-fast 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging – for the base model while the “Pro” model will have a 120W fast charging; which is really insane.
Some of the leaks were made by the company’s CEO online while other information was leaked across the internet with some renders and even alleged live photos were revealed.

One significant change about the device’s camera module is the redesign as well as the inclusion of a triple set up with the main shooter being a 50MP sensor.

The primary sensor is now placed at the top of the other two secondary sensors with the camera flash sitting in the opposite direction of the dual-secondary cameras.
Still, on the important features of the Xiaomi 12 series, the Xiaomi 12 Pro for example will make use of the Sony IMX707 sensor for the 50MP main snapper.
The sensor will reportedly be about 1/1.28″ in size and will support pixel-binning with one big 2.44µm pixel.
The device will reportedly get its power from a big 4,600mAh battery which will have support for dual charging in order to prevent overheating.
Elsewhere, the device is expected to sport a 6.73-inch AMOLED panel with 1440p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate with 480Hz touch sampling rate – all of which would make it a good gaming smartphone.
However, judging from the previous Mi 11 Pro, there are suggestions that the Xioami 12 Pro could be China-only.
What is also unknown is whether Xiaomi is planning the release of a Mi 12 Ultra afterward.
