If you update your WhatsApp messenger app to the latest version, you’ll be greeted with numerous upgrades that you may not notice at first but you’ll start seeing as you continue using the application.
One of the coolest is the voice messaging feature that lets you play voice notes in the background. We’ve all had that annoying experience of wanting to continue with whatever we’re doing while listening to those long voice notes from friends but because there’s no support for background playback, one is often stuck within the particular chat until the message is done playing (unless you want to quit the voice message)
Anyway, WhatsApp is apparently bringing this cool feature to the app in order to aid multi-tasking while allowing users to listen to voice notes in the background just exactly the same way music gets played in the background while you do other relevant things.
Although other upgrades might not be so physical in the sense that they’re often bug fixes and compatibility fixes with current Android security updates to keep the app well-secured for users.

The new addition to the chatting functionality is going to amuse a number of users. So if you think you need to get your smartphone up and running with other important things while also listening to the voice message of your friend, then you might want to grab the latest version of the WhatsApp messenger from both the App Store and Google Play Store.
Even though the current WhatsApp version I have (updated yesterday) still does not have this feature. It makes me wonder when a global roll-out will be available or maybe the feature isn’t even rolled out just yet as speculations have it that it might still take a couple of months before we finally get the new feature along with the world most popular messenger app.
