Vivo is back with another smartphone and this time is a mid-range smartphone called the Vivo V20 SE whose variant the Vivo V20 and Vivo V20 Pro were both announced earlier on this week in Thailand. The device now makes it to Malaysia as the Vivo V20 SE.
The device sports a triple 48MP rear camera setup with a 32MP front facing camera as well as fast charging among other cool features buyers will be getting on the device which costs about US$288. But let’s examine a number of important features on the device.
Specifications and features of Vivo V20 SE
The new smartphone first of all has a measurement of about 161 x 7.48 x 7.83mm and weighs only 171 grams. It has a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch up front at the center top of the device’s screen.
One thing I credit Vivo for is the fact that they always include OLED panels in their mid-tier smartphones which is a good thing considering the fact that even companies like Honor never had an OLED panel on their device which costs more at times and we all know that OLED panels are just much better than LCD screens.
But aside that, the Vivo V20 SE’s screen is also HDR10 compliant with a 1080 x 2400 pixel with Full HD+ resolution and a tall aspect ratio of 20:9 and a normal range 60Hz refresh rate. The screen also has an optical fingerprint scanner based on the fact that it has an OLED panel and it’s protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with a screen-to-body ratio of about 90.12%.
The device run on the mid-tier Snapdragon 665 chipset and has an 8GB of LPPDR4x RAM with a 128GB of internal storage as well as external storage support through MicroSD and has the Android 10 OS on board with FunTouchOS 11 preinstalled.
Vivo V20 SE camera spec
About the camera setup of the device, it has a 32MP front facing selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture which also has super night selfie mode and AAI ace beauty mode, pose master, softlight band and other interesting features to make pictures better.
While the back of the device is the triple camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture flanked by a second sensor which is an 8MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture and lastly a smaller 2MP bokeh lens with f/2.4 aperture.
The device can record 4K videos at 30 frames per seconds and the photo camera quality isn’t bad at all though the number of pixels on the camera doesn’t determine the result.
