Globally, COVID-19 related deaths has reached a new height which is 2,039,056 fatalities according to Bing statistics and reports on Friday. The United States continued to lead as death toll increases to over 400,000 which is far more than any other country around the globe.
The statistics on Bing are based on the numbers obtained from reputable sources such as the CDC and the WHO. However, public health experts believed the number could be higher than that due to the fact that not everyone who’s died of the disease had been tested for it.
The Wall Street Journal carried out an analysis earlier January and suggested the real number of fatal cases due to the COVID-19 could be anywhere around 2.8 million people worldwide.
This is the number of cases being recorded despite the breakthrough COVID-19 vaccine and roll out in some parts of the world with 35 million doses already being distributed globally while 12 million have gone to the United States alone.

In order to strengthen the rapid distribution of the vaccines, US President-elect Joe Biden has stated he’ll request US$400 million from the Congress in order to increase the vaccination campaign across the country stating it clearly that he’ll like to have vaccinated 100 million people in the country to commemorate his first 100 days.
