After parting ways with its former CEO Jack Dorsey, Twitter is now trying out new features that automatically add a content warning to individual tweets.
With that, NSFW-related content can be published without the fear of causing your innocent followers an unexpected shock.
As of now, there is an option to mark all the media contents you tweet as containing sensitive materials.
But the new feature means that anyone ranging from sex workers to those reporting crimes and publishing graphic contents can warn viewers ahead before clicking on the post.

“People use Twitter to discuss what’s happening in the world, which sometimes means sharing unsettling or sensitive content,” the official Twitter Safety account wrote on Tuesday. “We’re testing an option for some of you to add one-time warnings to photos and videos you Tweet out, to help those who might want the warning.”
In order to make use of the content warning feature, you just need to first attach an image to a draft tweet and then click on the triple dots menu icon at the bottom-right corner and then add a content warning by selecting the flag on the bottom right corner of the screen.
Afterwards, you can specify on the type of warning message you’re trying to display such as Violence, nudity, or sensitive.
After the post is published, the attached image will be blurred and overlaid with a message notifying views that the tweet’s author has flagged the post.
The attached image can only be seen when the user agrees to view it – which makes it much more safer for other Twitter users rather than stumbling upon an unsolicited graphic content which could cause some embarrasements.
It’s a nice feature to have even though we don’t know how soon Twitter will publish the new feature for users across the globe.
