The US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump announced their results to the general public via Twitter late Thursday about testing positive to the COVID-19.
The President revealed that he and the first lady had entered quarantine after realizing that a top White House aide Hope Hicks had tested positive for the virus as well which was what prompted their own testing.
Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

— Melania Trump (@FLOTUS) October 2, 2020It’s also being revealed that both the President and the First Lady are doing well according to the White House physician Dr. Sean Conley who state that “both well at this time and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence.”
The doctor continued, “Rest assured I expect the president to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering, and I will keep you updated on any further developments.”

Hicks meanwhile had been alongside with Trump during a number of presidential outing as well as the recent presidential campaign with the former Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday evening as well as his campaign rally in Minnesota later on Wednesday.
President Trump had often been seen in public places without wearing face mask and that had prompted a lot of criticisms from people and that was part of what his opponent stood upon during the debate on Tuesday meanwhile Trump defended his own stance about the regular usage of face mask stating that he wears masks only “when needed.”
“I think masks are OK,” Trump said, when asked by moderator Chris Wallace why he typically appears in public without wearing one. He pulled out a mask from his suit jacket to show he carried it with him.
“I put a mask on, you know, when I think I need it. Tonight is an example, everybody has had a test,” Trump said. “I wear a mask when needed. When needed, I wear masks.”
Judd Deere, a White House spokesperson, said the president “takes the health and safety of himself and everyone who works in support of him and the American people very seriously.”
“White House Operations collaborates with the physician to the president and the White House Military Office to ensure all plans and procedures incorporate current CDC guidance and best practices for limiting COVID-19 exposure to the greatest extent possible both on complex and when the president is traveling,” Deere continued in a statement sent to CNN.
COVID-19 is an acute respiratory disease caused by a novel Coronavirus which broke out in Wuhan, China late 2019 and has since affected millions of people around the world with death toll currently in 1 million worldwide while the number of deaths linked to the disease in the US has also surpassed 200,000.
