Apple will debut the iPhone 12 series today and part of what we expect to see when the device finally gets released includes the 5G wireless connectivity which will be blazing fast as it’ll support the mmWave technology even though it’s not entirely popular in the US for now.
The virtual event will hold at 10 am PT (1 PM ET or 6PM BST) but there is nothing yet about the pricing of the devices. The main reason for the the virtual event is due to the COVID-19 pandemic which had sent major events online and this won’t be the first that Apple will do this year because the WWDC 2020 was also held online.
The upgrade of the iPhone 12 series includes 5G capability and advanced display specs which is definitely going to be one of the main selling point of the devices. We also learnt that there will be four different models of the iPhone 12 series with different sizes making Apple join up with the Android smartphone makers who releases numerous smartphones every year.
The iPhone 12 release has caused a lot of expectations with 53% of respondents stating they’ll buy the iPhone 12 according to a market survey. Buzzes around the release of the device had been swirling in the news since January of 2020 which is a good marketing strategy for Apple and that should see them profiting from the device.

One other thing is that the devices might come in a different shape this time around instead of the curvy side design in the previous models since iPhone 6 series, the iPhone 12 is expected to take on the look and feel and of the older iPhone 4 and 5 which is a reminiscent of the iPad Pro’s boxy edge shape.
Apple’s invite, which often has some clues, this time has an Apple logo inside circles with different hues of blue, orange and red. And there’s a pun: “Hi, Speed.”

In other news, there is likely to be another device to be announced alongside the iPhone 12 series which is the over-ear headphones dubbed the AirPods Studio according to reports and rumors.
It’s been rumored that this will be an advanced headphone that’ll mimic the features and qualities of the AirPods Pro but with a much larger design aesthetic and over the ear cup which will make it a proper headphone and as you’ll expect, Apple is all about designs which gives a hint about how unique the so-called AirPods Studio will appear.
Apple also included an augmented reality trick on its website, as it had for last month’s event, with circles on the invite turning into floating orbs that reveal the Oct. 13 date.
