Remember the Grumpy cat that makes the internet such a wonderful place to have fun and relax at least helping millions all around the entire world smile, is dead. She is dead because she’s 7 Years old and in the cat’s world, that’s like a 70 years old human.
The owner of the animal announce her demise via social media with a special post which attributes how she had helped millions smile. The cat’s name being Tardar Sauce and she rose into fame right a Reddit post went viral way back in 2012 when she was just Five Months old.
What happened back then which gave rise to the “Grumpy Cat” Meme was a posted picture of the cat playing over her remarkably displeased look. The animal looks extremely tiny. Her owner said she was suffering from Feline Dwarfism.
What sets the Grumpy Cat apart is that it’s own Meme “Grumpy Cat” stuck and that name couldn’t be used on other cats in fact. It follows her everywhere she goes because it’s very obvious.
As minimal as she might look in her stature, she had appeared on several talk shows and had drawn crowds to herself at SXSW and even appeared in promotions for Cheerios and Friskies. Shes’s really a cyber phenomenon and beyond.
Aside being so popular, she even has her own merchandises and a Garfied crossover comic and she even at a point, a merchandise partner was sued for creating an unauthorized ground coffee and won $710,000 in the lawsuit. A movie was made of her and was titled Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever. Aubrey Plaza voiced the Grumpy Cat and it was directed by Alvin and the Chipmunks director.
Not so many cats have had such a successful status that Grumpy Cat was able to attain and that’s amazing in itself. While the internet will continue to exist, there will of course be some encounters with mysterious cats in the near future.
