Back in year 2010, there was this oil spillage that sank 800 million litres of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico because the drilling rig got exploded. Despite this, the entire contamination had disappeared just within few months. It was so shocking and surprising since none or not much artificial chemicals were used to do this.
How did it happen?
Some scientists stood up to know the reason why that was so and came across a Marine Bacteria which is said to be powerful enough to break down the long-chain carbon molecules present in Oils. According to Professor Terry Hazen, an Environmental Microbiologist describes these organisms as “Oil-seeking missiles.” Such organisms were responsible for what actually happened in the Gulf of Mexico as described at the outset.
Also in a BBC Report on the issue, word went out as saying “In a sense, it is no surprise that the seas should host oil-hungry Microbes” After all, “Natural Seeps from the ocean floor have been releasing oil into the world’s water” For Aeons.
Granted, human efforts in cleaning the oil spills are productive, they are yet dangerous because they consists of toxic properties which usually have long and lasting environmental issues and this usually have its ill effect on the people and animals of the sea.
But the natural cleansing method had been proven to be more healthy and more accurate and this enables quiet rapid effect without any natural side effect because of the self-activation of the “Oil-Hungry-Microbes” which dwells in the sea. One would either see how nature engineers itself In making its own processes quiet easy and speedy unlike the artificial methods which usually involve toxic chemicals that does more harm than good. Nature has therefore being superior in proving its effectiveness and accuracy.
