The EV market continues to explode with various companies exploring the opportunity as a move towards renewable energy becomes the new norm in a collective effort to save the planet.
Subaru is one of the companies that want to try its luck as well in the market with its Solterra crossover which was shown in a video published by the automaker highlighting a few of the design aesthetics of the vehicle.
According to Autoblog, the Subaru Solterra crossover is a reworked version of Toyota’s upcoming bZ4X EV both of which are collaborations between Toyota and Subaru’s e-TNGA platform that is designed for multiple EVs. The platform was announced back in 2019 with the attempt to start EV production in the very near future. That future might be here already and the new teaser video showed that.

Speaking of the similarities between the Subaru Solterra EV and the bZ4X EV which basically stands for “Beyond Zero” both cars have similar design cues. While there might be an eventual difference between both vehicles when they finally make their first appearance, what is certain is the fact that both vehicles share a similar look and feel.

In the teaser video which can be found below, there is a dim shot of the interior with a big touch display right at the center of the car which was probably ported over from Toyota’s own EV crossover even though there is an extra feature below the rotary knob on the Subaru Solterra.
Information such as the battery capacity or the price is yet to be announced though the price of the car could be around US$30,000 and US$40,000, the car could also debut in the US market as soon as the summer of 2022.
